Preferences
The Preferences window allows you to customize Manager options and personalize your settings used in a Chat window.
You can select the Prefs button from the Launch Bar or from the right-click Tray icon menu. We have quite a few options available. Let's examine them (note that all images show the default settings).
General
Automatically start Manager with Windows - TrayGames will load every time you restart your computer.
Automatically sign in when Manager starts - As soon as the Manager starts you will be signed in (when connected to the Internet).
Open Main Window when Manager starts - Shows the Managers main window when it starts. If this option is not selected the Manager will sit quietly in the Tray.
Show the welcome screen - Displays the TrayGames splash window on startup.
Join General Lobby after sign in - Automatically launches the Lobby plugin and enters you into the General lobby.
Show help hints - Displays useful tips when you hover the mouse over different parts of the Manager window.
Messages
Color - The color used for text you type in a Lobby or Chat window.
Font - The font used for the text you type in a Lobby or Chat window.
Size - The size used when you type text in a Lobby or Chat window.
Show emoticons - Translate smiley text (ex. :-) ) into emoticon icons.
Allow me to send and receive Nudges - Allow your chat window to shake when you send/receive the text "(nudge)".
Automatically keep a history of conversations - Stores a log containing conversations with each of your friends for the past 30 days.
Show last conversation in new chat windows - When you talk to a friend you have a history with, the last 12 hours of this log is loaded and shown in the Chat window.
Personal
Show me as Away if I'm inactive for - Change your status to Away after this time if you are away from your computer.
Let TrayGames manage my Skype Software status - When you manually change your status in TrayGames, your Skype Software status will also be set.
Show offline people in the Friends group - Display all of your friends in your Friends List, even if they are offline.
Show offline people in the Friends of Friends group - Display all Friends of Friends in your Friends List, even if they are offline.
Show offline people in other groups - Display offline Skype Software and Jabber contacts.
Create or modify my profile and Avatar - Change the description of yourself that others can see and pick your Avatar (small graphic that represents your online persona).
Alerts and Sounds
Display alerts when contacts come online - Show a popup alert window when contacts come online.
Display alerts when a message is received - Show a popup alert window when a message is received.
Display alerts when news is received - Show a popup alert window when news is received from the TrayGames Network.
Mute all Manager sounds - Mute sounds when the Manager connects, or you recieve a chat message, etc. This does not affect sounds or music in your games.
MSN
Username - The email address you use to sign into Windows Messenger with.
Password - The password for your Windows Messenger username.
Automatically connect after sign in - Connects you to Windows Messenger on startup.
Show blocked Messenger contacts - Puts contacts you have blocked in the Messenger Friends group.
Add new Messenger contact - Allows you to add a contact to your Messenger Friends group.
MSN is currently a Beta feature, feedback is appreciated.
