Finding Friends

TrayGames makes it easy for you to find your friends and add them to your Friends List. You can start the process by clicking on the Add button at the top of TrayGames Manager Friends List:

This will launch the Add New Friend window. In the Search for field of this window, you can type a name, an email address, or a location, or part of any one of these. I'm going to look for my friend fred so I type in his name and then click the Find Button:

In a matter of seconds you will have the results. For example here we've found three members with the word Fred in their account information. Ozymandius, which is my friend Fred's nickname, is the person I'm looking for, so I'll click on that entry to select it. Now the Add button becomes available so I click on that.

A popup form gives me a chance to enter a message to go along with my invite to Ozymandius, this is optional so the dialog may be dismissed without a message. If a message is typed in press OK. This message will appear just before the actual TrayGames invitation popup.

When that's done I am told I have to press OK again to confirm the invitation. When I click OK this time, the Add New Friend window disappears and Ozymandius is temporarily added to my list of friends.

Shown below is what you can expect to see on your computer depending on whether you are the inviter or invitee.

My Computer  I can see here that Ozymandius has been added as a friend, but the icon beside his name indicates pending status. This means that Ozymandius needs to accept the invite before the friendship is complete.

Fred's Computer  Ozymandius will receive a popup message on his computer (shown left). If Ozymandius is not online at this time the invite will be sent to him the next time he signs in. If Ozymandius declines your invitation he will be removed from your friends list.

All that's left to do is wait for Ozymandius to accept the invitation!
