Game Interface

Your player name and the color of your pieces are indicated in the bottom area of the game window, while your opponents name and army is at the top. When it is your turn you will be notified by a message in the status bar at the bottom of the window. Throughout the game the status bar will offer relevant information.

To start your turn just left-click on the piece you wish to move, you will see a selection mark. To move left-click on the square you want to move to (or attack). If you make a capture your opponents piece will be removed from the board.

You may offer a draw by clicking on the Draw button but your opponent will have to accept your offer for the game to be called a draw. You may also resign at any time by clicking the Resign button.

Use the View History button to toggle between chat mode and history mode. In history mode you can see the algebraic notation of the current game and the time used by each player. In chat mode you can see the history of your in-game conversation. If a chat message arrives while your are in history mode you will automatically be returned to chat mode.

You can text chat with the other player in the chat area at the right of the screen. You can also toggle the theme music or game sounds by clicking on the buttons in the lower right of the game window. After a game is finished either player can request a new game by clicking the New Game button.

Promotion Form

The game then proceeds as usual. Be sure to check out the Strategy section for game tips.
