Strategy

Follow a plan and method when opening your game, so you will acquire winning skills in both attack and defense.

It is recommended to keep your men in the middle of the board. On the side squares the men lose 1/2 of their power.

The the essence of the game consists in moving your pieces at the opening stages to achieve a position that will force your adversary to give his men away.

Always try to keep the lanes to your own king's row blocked to your opponent. Once either side gets a king, any uncrowned man in the open is highly vulnerable.

If you have gained an advantage in the number of your pieces, you can increase the proportion of the advantage by exchanging men; but be careful and try to maintain good positions.

Avoid scattering your men, try to concentrate them as the game advances and fewer pieces are on the board.

Move between your own pieces and your opponent in order to move adjacent to an opposing man without loss.

Study the probable plans of your adversary as you do analyze your own moves.

always keep in mind the possibility of using the forced capture rule to maneuver your opponent into a position where he gives up two pieces for one of your own.

Remember that one man ahead with a clear plan should be a certain win.

Good luck!
