Joe Pantuso
CEO & Co-Founder
Joe Pantuso began his startup career at PKWare (PKZip). He formed his first company Renegade
Graphics in 1992 where he published the first Windows-based commercially successful video game CAD
software (DoomED) and published his first book on the subject.
Joe next negotiated a joint venture between Renegade Graphics and Sembawang Media
(a division of SembCorp), to create Games Online, Singapore's first
established video game company. As the leader of
Games Online, he envisioned some of the earliest Internet multi-player games.
He also authored two more books on the subject of the
Internet and the growing online gaming phenomenon.
Joe then returned to the United States to found NeoWorx with a former PKWare
colleague. Serving as Vice President and CTO of NeoWorx, he
oversaw the creation of multiple innovative products, including the
graphical NeoTrace trace-route tool, NeoLite executable compression
technology, and the NeoWatch personal firewall.
In 2001, Joe and his partner sold
their company to McAfee, best known for their anti-virus software. After
the acquisition, he was the only NeoWorx officer to take a position
with McAfee as he led the team as the NeoWatch firewall product became the next-generation
McAfee Personal Firewall product you can buy today.
Joe left McAfee in 2004 to focus full-time on building TrayGames.
